It doesn't seem like fall here...infact, we've been having some unseasonably warm and dry weather here in the Northwest, but it was time to put away summer and decorate for fall! I love Autumn decorating almost as much as I like decorating for Christmas! Last week I took some burlap I had lying around, and I made a "Harvest" banner. It was so quick and easy to make!
First I cut my burlap into triangles. Then I printed my letters out, extra big. I used "Priory" font. I traced my letters onto the burlap, by putting my printed letters under the burlap, and held it up to the window to trace using a big sharpie pen. Then I painted in the letters. Next I strung up my banner with a large needle and some jute. Easy! I made a few more for my upcoming shows.
I also made an owl picture printed on vintage linen. (Did you notice it in the upper left corner of the first picture?) I found a cute owl graphic on Graphic Fairy (clic
k here to see it). I added the word "Boo" and then printed onto the fabric using the method I described in my blog
here). Fun! Below is the graphic I used.
In the bottom right of the first photo is my "Halloween Baby" pattern. If you need a quick, Halloween project, this pattern is for you! You can order the e-pattern here:

I've been having a great time lately with the website "PicMonkey" that I recently discovered! This website does anything you want with your photos! In the photos above I added the dark edges, the spiderweb, and the crow. I love this website, and plan to use it lots when I take senior pictures soon of my twin daughters! You've got to check it out
here!
Autumn Blessings,
Laurie
